Operating out of Nanded, this itinerary covers three days of immersive travel. We provide comfortable three-star AC accommodations , local transportation via private bus, car, or rickshaw , and set meals. This allows you to focus entirely on the magnificent temple architecture, iconography, and military history of the Deccan without worrying about the underlying logistics.

Historical Significance

This region serves as an open textbook of Deccan architecture and religious evolution. Aundhya Nagnath is not just a highly revered Jyotirlinga; it is a spectacular example of the Hemadpanti architectural style, featuring intricate exterior carvings, an impressive plinth, and a unique structural layout that demands academic appreciation. At Ambejogai, the ancient rock-cut caves offer a distinct glimpse into early Shaivite and Vaishnavite rock-cut traditions. Complementing the temple history is Kandhar Fort, a massive land fort with deep moats and robust bastions that reveals the military engineering prowess of the Rashtrakutas and the later Deccan Sultanates.

Detailed Itinerary

   Day 0:

   23-July-2026 - Travel towards Nanded

   Depart towards Nanded via HDP NANDED EXP (17629) at 21:50 PM to reach Nanded the next morning by 10:20 AM. Participants from Mumbai can join via the Devgiri Express, which departs at 21:30 PM from Mumbai and reaches Nanded by 09:00 AM.

   Day 1:

   24-July-2026 - Aundhya Nagnath

   Reach Nanded by 10:20 AM, check into the hotel, and post-lunch, depart for the Aundhya Nagnath temple, located roughly 65 KM away. We will spend 2-3 hours exploring the temple, specifically analyzing its architecture and iconography. We return to Nanded in the evening to visit the local Gurudwara (Meals: Lunch & Dinner)

   Day 2:

   25-July-2026 - Ambejogai & Parali Vaijnath

   Get up early morning and travel to Ambejogai to visit the Jogeshwari temple and the ancient caves. Afterward, travel to Parali Vaijnath to take blessings at the Jyotirlinga. We will return to Nanded for the overnight stay.

   Day 3:

   26-July-2026 - Kandhar Fort

   Start early and post-breakfast, head to Kandhar Fort. Explore the fort's architecture and history until the afternoon. Return to Nanded for lunch, visit a few local spots, and catch the evening train at 18:25 PM, reaching Pune the next morning at 05:25 AM.
